Successful Living

The Bible says in the Book of Joshua chapter 1, verse 8: "This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; but you shalt meditate therein day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.
Then it goes on to say in verse 9: "Have not I commanded you? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be dismayed: for the LORD your God is with you where ever you go."
The key to successful living is seen in the above scripture. Note what it says in verse 8 above, '...FOR THEN YOU SHALL MAKE YOUR WAY PROSPEROUS AND YOU SHALL HAVE GOOD SUCCESS'.
God has given the believer the power to prosper and to be successful in his or her day-to-day living. You do not need to make special friends or pursue relationships with influencial people in order to get on. The power to prosper is in the Word, not in people or places.

The above instruction was given to Joshua when God made him successor to Moses and leader over Israel to bring God's people into the promised land. Joshua was to lead Israel into many battles to fight for the BLESSING which was the promised land. You will see if you go back to read from verse 1 of chapter 1 that God guaranteed Israel success in the pursuit of the BLESSING if His instructions were followed diligently and carefully.
Child of God, your success in life begins when you come to that place of decision that whatever it takes, you will fight for your blessing relentlessly and refusing to be defeated. Remember that God is not a respector of persons and He is consistent in His instructions. His instructions to Joshua are His instructions to you. You may suffer setbacks but do not let setbacks deter you from your dream. God said to Joshua in verse 9 that 'He should be of good courage and should not be afraid', this is because Joshua will have to fight real battles and face real oppositions to him obtaining the BLESSING.
Fear and discouragement will blind you from seeing your way through to victory and will slow you down. Fear will cause you to turn back and run, and discouragement will bring you to a stand-still and allow the spirit of depression to set in. If you will stand on the Word, keep moving forward and fight relentlessly and not retreat, the Bible says you cannot lose.
So put your trust in God and stand on His Word, and you will leave a trail of victories in your pathways leading to a successful life.
